Why Panda?

Hi Fellow Fae!!! Today I'd like to explain the reason behind my business's name. Over the last couple of weeks when I've gone to the craft store and talked about my business with people in passing I've been asked "Why Panda?"

Some of you who have been supporting me from the beginning or this crafting journey may have heard the story. It's also a picture on my facebook.

Back Story:

My great-gran thought I needed something to fill my time with at the end of my pregnancy...so I started crocheting again. Yes, again! She taught me how to crochet and knit when I was in the third grade. Around the 5th grade I learned how to cross-stitch. At that time i only made hats and scarves. My craft business at the start was called "Craft Mom" until a friend of my mom and I found a fellow crafter by the same name. What's crazy is the original panda I found on Pinterest was also her panda she used for greeting cards she crafted. So I had to change my name.

After the name and logo problem i changed my business name to Xandie Panda. My bio after the name change was as follows:

"As an interior design student and a first time mom to a handsome 1 year old, I decided to be a stay at home mom. Being at home all day made me bored, so I started a craft business. This business was inspired by my son Alexander R.G. Aubrey, who I call Panda (a play on his father's nickname, Teddy Bear). As of right now, I offer hats, scarves, blankets, jewelry and home decor items."

Since then I started making soaps (a story in itself) and another name change.

Panda Soap & Crafts:

I now offer soaps, bath scoops, hats, scarves, blankets and home decor. Hats, scarves, blankets and home decor items can be custom ordered. I also do art work. This year is the year I make everything binding.

Etsy Shop:

I have yet to figure out Etsy. I decided in January that I would give it until my birthday (June) to make the shop work. I wasn't ever too pressed because I did vendor events or sold in person to people I know. But I'd like to have an online store...that makes money. Any tips...

Coming Soon:
