How I became crafty:

In the 3rd grade my great-grandmother taught me how to crochet. I would crochet or knit off and on throughout life whenever I got bored.  She thought I needed a hobby. When I got pregnant with my son I had to put my academic career on hold. While I was "on break" she tried to encourage me to crochet and sell my items. While watching "Orange is the New Black" I was inspired by the idea of making soap. I didn't start crafting until after he was born. Xandie Panda was inspired by my son Alexander; the name is both his nicknames. Panda is a play on his Dad's nickname, Teddy Bear. I'm still getting started, making inventory and finding craft shows. I haven't figure out how to navigate Etsy yet, though I have an account for Xan Pan. I have changed the name three times (Craft Mom, Xandie Panda, then Panda Soap & Crafts).

In June of 2017 I decided, with the support of my son's father and a soap class my mom bought me, I started doing serious research on soap making.

I'm currently crafting artisan soaps for your happiness!
