Hi Fae Friends! Let's jump right in today!

Tuesday, March 17, 2020 was St. Patrick's day. i had a different plan for this post, with pictures from the day but we are under self quarantine; so we stayed in the house. So no pics from Panda and I this year. Sorry! but here are some pictures from past years:

St. Patrick's Day is a global celebration of Irish culture on or around march 17. it particularly remembers St. Patrick, one of Ireland's patron saints, who ministered Christianity in Ireland during the fifth century. St. Patrick's Day is celebrated in countries with people of Irish descent.

Now, I pulled some information about St. Pat that I didn't know but I'm also going to include all links for your reading enjoyment. (Reading is good!)

St. Patrick was born in Banna Venta Bernice, a town in Roman Britain, sometime in the late 300s AD. He isn't even Irish. His name wasn't Patrick either! It was Maewyn Succat, but he chose to be known as Patricius down the line.

He was a Romano-British Christian missionary and bishop in Ireland.

Saint Patrick's Day was made an official Christian feast day in the early 17th century and is observed by the Catholic Church, the Anglican Communion, the Eastern Orthodox Church and the Lutheran Church (that's me).

We celebrate by going to parades, ceilithe, wearing shamrocks and/or green, drinking irish beer and whiskey and attending mass or services.

Fun Fact: I have an Irish ancestor, Sarah Ann McCurdy (1840-1881) and I'm 3% Irish!

Today is the first day of spring! YAY! I pictured this day differently.... But still I plan on helping in the yard, washing walls and windows and 25% (something my mom came up with/spring cleaning). Most of this week I've been in the house with Panda doing lessons and adding to my yarn inventory. Next week I'll be doing lessons with him and business paper work and things. New things are coming this weekend! (CRAFT)

What are some of your spring plans under quarantine?
