Hi Fae Friends! Today I'm going to select two of my favorite products from Artistic Tile. As you may know I talked about this company on my Design Instagram on Tile Tuesday. There was a lot more things I wanted to talk about but the post was already too long. So, I'm breaking it up into three parts. Yes, three. Their website also has a blog and I wanted a little more time to explore. This Friday (today) I'm going to talk about my favorites and next Friday I'm going to talk about a few blog entries of theirs.

Favorites:

My favorite types of tiles (in general) are stone, glass, mosaic, patterns, waterjet and ceramic. These are also the types of tiles they carry. Today I'm going into the stone collection. I selected Alexandrita and Arabescato slabs.

Alexandrita is a polished Brazilian quartzite with spectacular emerald colors surrounded by shades of aquamarine and subtle tones of peach.

Applications:

This material can be installed on commercial interior floors, all interior wall, shower walls and can withstand steam. It can also be used on the shower floor as well as counter-tops. It can not be installed on exterior floors, walls, pools or fountains.

Notes:

Regarding fiberglass mesh backed stones for installation in wet areas, consult your fabricator for recommended installation method. Options include, but are not limited to complete removal of fiberglass mesh backing (where applicable) or installing with epoxy setting material. Any decision to install contrary to most current marble institute of America Dimension stone design manual practices is solely at buyer discretion and risk.

My Reasons:

Other then the fact that it's name is in the "Alex" family I love the blue and peach veining. The slab has a few different colors in it other than those two; cream, green and gold. I would love to see this in a bathroom or on a laundry room counter-top.

Cost: $122 per square foot

Arabescato Rosa is quarried in the Estremoz region of Portugal, Arabescato Rosa is a light pink marble with dramatic, statement- making black veining that lend itself well to book-matched layouts.

Applications;

This material can be installed on commercial interior floors, all interior wall, shower walls and can withstand steam. It can also be used on the shower floor as well as counter-tops. It can not be installed on exterior floors, walls, pools or fountains.

Notes:

Fiberglass mesh backed slabs are not recommended for showers. Recommended grout spacing-interior flooring-1/8" minimum, interior walls- 1/4" minimum.

My Reasons:

I love all things feminine. Light dustings of pink or rose always does it for me. This material is feminine, elegant and masculine at the same time. I could see this in the same spaces as the first product as well as a custom closet wall or a master suite.

Other Loves:

I also like (from their site) Bianco Carrara, Calacatta Bluette, Gold and Rosa.

You can check them out on the website: https://www.artistictile.com/ or on pinterest at https://www.pinterest.com/artistictile/

Looking forward to part 3 on Artistic Tile next Friday!!

Love & Light- Xan
